A difficult time

I am having such a difficult time mourning the loss of my beloved Beau. I was not able to see him for three days before he died (the vet would not allow me, saying he needed to be kept quiet) and the guilt of not being with him is tearing me apart. What if he was afraid? What if he wondered why I was not there with him? I hope he knows just how much I loved him. Berni :-(
