| Mac, gone? My aunt called a few minutes ago and told me that she judt had Mac, her GSD put to sleep this morning. I can't believe how much it hurts. I've known this dog for only 3 years and I can't believe he's gone. He was such ans angel. She got him from a man that was taking him to the pound because he couldn't get the dog to do any sort of obedience. Mac was just 6 two weeks ago. He has had alot of problems and worked through them all. He must have been severly beaten because his spirit was broken when she got him. He morphed from a 55 lb. mass of skin and bones to an 90 lb. mass of muscle in a few months. i just can't believe he's gone. He had HD severly when she got him and she had surgery done on both of the legs. He recovered in no time and was so happy. Then last year she found a lump on his face and took him to the vet, it was cancer. He had done fine until recently. he was in alot of pain, she said and she knew it was time. I can't believe taht I won't see his big smiling face when I next go see her. I have grown to love this dog so much. I don't know how I will handle it when my 2 head to the bridge. I don't think I can take it. Mac grew to be such a sweet baby in the little time she had him. He was one of the ugliest GSDs I ever saw but his personality more than made up for it. How I will miss his sweet presence! |
