SO....SAD...

Hello, My wonderful Rottie died on Saturday. He was kicked out of police school in Florida because he wasn't aggressive. We've had him for 8 years. He had a tumor but it was removed successfully. He died because his stomach twisted. Like a horse, what could I have done to help him????? I was told if I would have walked him he might have recovered. The vets tried everything to save him but in the end he died. I also have 5 cats, why couldn't God taken one of them. (Joking) Seriously, I'm a basket case because I feel like I let my poor dog down. I can't believe there was nothing I could have done to save him. Any input would be welcome. Prayers too. We live in Germany. They have some strange ideas about Rotts. They don't trim the tails. So we have Rotts that look like Labs. I will probably come stateside and buy a new one (after a while) but would really like to get one here. Any ideas??? Thanks.
