Update on Roxy's mystery illness

Thanks to everyone who responded to our original post. Unfortunately, Roxy deteriorated rapidly over the period of a few days to the point where she could not get up or walk at all. We finally had to make the heartbreaking decision to have her put to sleep.
Information we gathered during her illness has led us to the conclusion that she may have had a form of lupus. The symptoms were: progressive lameness over two years with periods of remission and skin peeling off the pads of her feet-which led to open sores and infection.
