| Saying goodbye Well, he was part of our lives for only a year and a half, but he made an impression of a life-time. We found out this morning that Max had osteosarcoma and it seemed like it was spreading throughout his body rapidly. He was in a lot of pain. Our vet came to our house and we put him down with a lot of people hugging him and loving him, just as he loved those around him.
While our hearts are broken, you can only find satisfaction in knowing that we did everything possible to make his life wonderful while he was with us. Now he is playing with our Susie and King somewhere in a place where he does not hurt anymore.
I want to thank all of you who have shared in my experiences over these last few months. I will still listen in on this site, but another companion will have to wait for a while. Now that Max is gone, I am considering moving and I will not be able to have another dog for a while. It is OK. I have a lot of wonderful memories of my beloved baby.
