| Rainbow Bridge The Rainbow Bridge
It's been years since "MY" first dog went to the bridge. He was mine, he was the best, his name was Sox, he was not a rott, he was not a pedigree...... he is waiting for me at the bridge.....Sox fathered a litter....he had a son...his name was Jewjew....of course he was not a rott, nor a pedigree.....but he was mine as well.....Jewjew was less then a year old when he disappeared.....what ever happened to him, I don't know.....but I do know he's waiting at the bridge for someone......
Then, one day, with ALL my loses, I begain to wonder about the bridge. I felt comfort in the knowledge that MY partners were waiting for me. But what about all the dogs that left this life without a "partner"? What happened to the strays that passed, or the shelter dogs that "went" and I am sure there are more then a few puppies that had "nobody" to wait for. I thought, and I thought real hard.
Well, my friends, I found that ever so elusive answere last week.
As it is, last week, a very close friend went to heaven. He didn't have a dog, he never had a dog. He did however have a heart, and a heart of "gold" it was, and he surly deserved a dog of his own. So on his way to heaven, he stopped at the bridge, and he had his "pick of the litter" any dog that had no partner. I know in my heart of hearts, he picked what he wanted. It didn't have to be a rott, it didn't have to be a pedigree, it could have been a Sox or even a lost Jewjew.....but he had "HIS" pick, because you see my friends "Josh" was but two years old.....
My heart, my soul, my prays go out to those who suffer a loss........
I love you Tony and Becky........ |
