Squiggy the Beagle

Yesterday my best friend had to put down her Beagle whom she's had since she was 9 years old. Squiggy was 15 years old and suffered from near-blindness, deafness, and severe arthiritis for the past two to three years. They held off on putting him down two weeks ago because they couldn't bear to let him go, but this weekend my friend saw in his eyes that it was just the time and had to do the right thing...

So good-bye Squiggy. I'll always remember the way you'd get up to greet us even though I could tell you would rather be cuddled up near the fire-place in your bed. I'll always remember how you'd make an effort to play with Mojave, even though your legs hurt you so much. I know whenever we go to your favorite park, we'll always stop and remember your "hiding place" and smile remembering the silly things you did....

Your "mom", family, and friends loved you very much and you'll be missed dearly. We love you Squiggy....
