Jason crossed over the bridge on 8/27/00, at 2:00 P.M. at the age of 10 years, two months. He was a great campaigner. In his final hours, under the effects of some 30 mgs of Valium, he tried to fence run a passing dog. While it is true, cancer brought him down, it was not before he had won the hearts of many. Public relations was his speciality. In addition to dying this weekend, he also placed second at the State Fair (his picture, that is), and I've just received word that he will be featured in a 2001 rottweiler calendar. True to the end and beyond, my blazing star.
