My furkids have lost a friend

In June of 1994, my parents odopted Ask-em, a lab/golden mix, at the age of 5yrs old. Both of my kids have grownup with him and have spent many a hours playing and socializing with each other.

On Saturday, there friend Ask-em, at the age of 11, went to the bridge.

We had gone over to visit that afternoon and found out Ask-em was at the vet and that he wasn't doing good. My parents were not home at the time and nobody seem to have alot of info so we waited. When my parent did show up we found out that they had to have him put down because he was suffering and his outcome was not good.

The straingest thing about everything that happened on Saturday was the way my kids reacted from the time we arrived, until we left. It is as if they new already that something was wrong. When my parents showed up they didn't greet then like there usually do, instead they kept going back and forth to each of them, giving kisses, faint wines and/or just laying they heads in there laps and staring. Both of my parents made comments about how they were acting and said "I don't think you need to tell them that Ask-em is gone" and my reply was "no, I don't think I do".

We are going to miss you Ask-me but we know you are in a better place and you are not suffering.

Helen, Bru and Faust.
