| Fanci has left for the Bridge It is with great sorrow that I must post the passing of another wonderful representative of our breed and one that we truly loved…… “Fanci” ..... V-1, U-CDX, Can OTCH, Am/Can/UCI Int’l Ch. Von Marc’s Fantasia v Zaber, UDX2, OA, RA, CGC, ASCA CD, ARC VX August 19, 1995 - March 8, 2007 It's taken me this long to be able to post this here, she is already missed so much by her owners, Carl and Diane Colvin and by us, her breeders/co-owners, Harold & Sharon Marples, Von Marc Rottweilers. If you will permit, I will reminisce a bit: Fanci was a true ambassador for the breed. Eager to please, loving kids and adults alike and always ready to go in the ring(s) to have fun. More than once I can remember grabbing Fanci from Diane as she came out of the obedience rings, switching collars and running to make it to the breed ring in time for our class. She never let us down, and was truly a fun dog to show. She was always at the front of the lead, looking back at me as if to say “hurry up!” And to those who watched her over the years in the obedience and agility rings, no one can argue that she was a true working dog, she loved the competition and the sport and loved running to her crate for her "chow chow" as she came out of the ring each time. It was so funny, she would almost drag Diane to the crate because it was a standing tradition for her to get those treats when she was finished in the ring. Woe be to you if you were in her way! From winning her very first 6-9 ARC 1996 National Specialty class, to winning Best in Veteran Sweepstakes at the 2003 ARC National Specialty, Fanci just loved to show in the breed ring. I hope that those of you who were at the 2003 National Specialty had the pleasure of watching her as she flew around the ring, at the front of her lead, working her way to be named ARC 2003 National Specialty Best in Veteran Sweepstakes. At almost 8 years of age at that time, she still loved strutting her stuff around the ring. As the one who handled her to all of her championship titles, I can truly attest that I have never handled another dog that loved to strut her stuff around the ring as Fanci did. “Her” “grandkids” were what Fanci loved the best (aside from Diane of course!). She grew up with them, played and loved them. Many times I would see her eyes light up when they arrived for a visit and she first saw them. She was in her element when they came to visit. Diane and Fanci shared a special bond, one that was really special and one that showed to everyone that knew them and watched them work and play together. Diane always called her the “Queen” and Fanci certainly lived up to the name. They shared many wonderful moments together and what a working team (as you can see from Fanci’s many titles) they were! It was always my greatest pleasure in being able to continually send brags about Fanci with every new title she attained. As Fanci’s breeder, she was truly one that constantly wowed us with her continuing achievements and made us so proud. Some of Fanci’s lifetime accomplishments include: Best Veteran in Sweepstakes, ARC 2003 National specialty MRC Hall of Fame ARC Versatility Excellent Four High in Trial awards in obedience High in Trial Rally (from Advanced class) at the age of 10 – May, 2006 Multple Top Ten Awards in both obedience and agility Multiple Best of Breed Winner And I’m sure there is much, much more that I just can’t bring to mind at this moment, it is just too difficult. Thank you for allowing me this time to dedicate to Fanci. We will miss her so, so very much. I'm attaching one of our favorite photos of Fanci, doing what she loved to do best, work!

| Re: Fanci has left for the Bridge Sharon, I am sorry to hear of your loss. Working a dog to such a high level brings us so much closer to them, I can only imagine the void her handlers feel.May she continue her hard work, and enjoy all of the fun things she did here on earth up in heaven.
