Babe Your Candle Has Been Lit

I promised my Babe that I would light a candle for her each night so she could continue to look after us from above and her candle has been lit each night since Thursday night. It was the hardest thing I have ever done and my heart still feels like it's being ripped outta my chest. I miss her terribly and can almost not bear to look at the many photos I have of my girl, she will always be my beautiful baby. I have returned to work after needing to take Friday off and am surrounded by photos of her and my 2 beautiful children and am finding comfort in writing this down and hoping that it will somehow ease my pain just for a moment. Babe's back legs gave out and we treated her with meds for almost 3 weeks before making the call to have her put down. She will forever be missed and loved and leaves behind her loving companion Diesel, her children Victoria and Clay, her mommy and daddy, Chesney the hampster, Charlie the Cockatiel, her horse and cattle buddies, and cousin Max and Coco.

I am so very sorry for your loss of Babe.
Babe's illness sounded so close to Sheena's. I was so hoping Babe could pull through. I for one know what you went through taking care of Babe. You gave her the time to try to heal but like Sheena it was not meant to be.
We lost Sheena on Friday, Dec. 22nd and believe me I would not have been fit to go to work the next day either. In fact when I went back to work the day after Christmas the only way I could get through the days that followed was by not telling anyone that Sheena was gone. I couldn't talk about my loss and even now it is hard but I can get through a conversation pretty well but still have not told anyone at work.
I just wanted you to know we feel your pain and I am thinking about you and Babe. Take care...
