Till we meet again my sweet angel..

As many of you know my girl Dakota was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer in Novermber of 2006. She traveled a long road and never gave up her fight. But on February 7, 2007 her dad and I had to decided what was best for her. She was not going to let us down so she would fight each day and act if everything was ok most of the time. The only day since I got my sweet girl at the young age of 5 weeks old, that she did not greet me at the door when I returned home from work. Her neck was severely swollen and had started swelling her left front leg. I was hoping that she was having a reaction to the antibiotics that we had got her on only one day prior. We loaded her up and drove straight to the vet. When the vet came in, she claimed that this is one of the symptoms that the cancer was taking over. The lymph nodes had swollen so much that they had stopped her drainage and it started to fill in her tissue. I never looked away from my girl and I told the vet that it was time. I could no longer expect my girl to fight. I layed next to her and placed my cheek against her face as she lay on the floor awaiting the injection. My tears covered her and dad sat petting her. At one point in time I thought I saw a tear well up in her eye. I told my girl that I would see again and that she was a good girl. Mommy was so sorry this had to happen to such a good baby. I explained that maybe she was too good of a girl and God wanted her for his own. But when I come to meet her, we will be together forever. I love you baby girl, and nobody will ever change that. Till we meet again my girl......

Oh mana0615 I felt the love you have for Dakota and how terribly you miss her.
I am so sorry for your loss and the heartbreak of losing your fur kid.
I wish there was something I could say that would ease your pain.
She is in good hands now and with all of our beloved fur kids at the Rainbow Bridge.
You have the memories of Dakota to sustain you until you meet again......

Oh My God, I am feeling the love and affection you had for your girl, i can hardly type this for the tears running down my cheeks feels like i knew her myself, what a lovely tribute for your girl,

Yeah and i think that god handpicks the good ones to keep all the other Rottie angels company, So sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear that. It is so sad the way we have to let them go like that, but it is the kindest thing you could've done for your girl and she knew and trusted you to do that for her. She is now your Rottie Angel.
