Re: And then there will be three...

That is one of the best tributes i've read, thank you for sharing such a personal loss with the rest of us. I hope that you find peace and comfort in the memories you've made and that the days and weeks ahead become a little easier for you.

Lynn

Re: And then there will be three...

I am so very sorry for your loss. It is obvious through your words that you and Mojave had so much love and respect between you, you honoured your friendship with him by letting him go. You are a good boy, Mojave, run free.
Hugs to you Sandy.

That was gut-wrenching and beautiful, and I am so sorry that you had to let Mojave go, but I am so glad that you have all those good memories to hold on to.
Truly, God MUST love Rottweilers....

Rest easy, Mojave.

Re: And then there will be three...

I am at a loss of words to say to you. I know there is nothing anyone can say to bring comfort. I can try to tell you that he had a good life and that he was lucky to have you as his guardian. However, it is all bitter-sweet. He was ripped away from all he loved, and those whom loved him, by a disease you don't know is lurking until it is too late. You probaly will always ask yourself what you could have done different, or prhaps if you noticed something...

I can feel the sadness, but infinate pride you have for your boy. He is something you would not trade for anything, although you bear such pain and sorrow. I am thinking of you and your little family. The house must be so cold and bare.

Godspeed Mojave. I know Zeke was there to greet you along with many others. I'll always remember Mojave. You gave him a wonderful life and you'll always be Mojave's mom.

Re: And then there will be three...

So very sorry for your loss. Rest assured that you did what was best for your boy. He has his wings now, and will forever be with you in spirit.

God speed Mojave.

Re: And then there will be three...

Sandy and Glenn, I am so sorry for your loss. Mojave is at rest now, and although it's hard without him, you can be sure he isn't suffering now. You don't need to worry about him. He is safe and pain free. My girl Sadie is having good days but some bad lately since her OSC dx in Jan. We know eventually we'll have to make a decision. I dread the day we have to.
I admire your strength. Your story is so beautiful as sad as it has ended. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: And then there will be three...

There are many things in life that we can be proud of, as I sit here with crying like a baby, there was a poem that my granny showed me. It goes something like this. when you were weak, I carried you, when you were strong I let you roam. The time had come to let Mojave go. Now you must have the strength to let him roam. Peace and love come in many different forms Mojave was the love and then you gave him peace. Hope that the healing will be blessed with memories and laughter. xoxo Sour Sugar.

Re: And then there will be three...

My heart goes out to you in this difficult time, it is clear to see how Mojave has made such an impact. The sadness does get better, believe me it does. Having lost my Sabre little over a month now I never thought the tears would slow down but they have. Have comfort in knowing now there is no pain for your special friend and that Mojave's love for you was returned hundred fold.
