That is so tragic. My father passed away last month and while he seemed so young (only 65), dying at 20 while pregnant is so very very sad. My heart goes out to you and your friend's family.

There is so much tragedy in the world --- but when it hits you personally, it does one very good and very important thing --- it makes you appreciate life (and the people in it) and makes you live life a little more fully every day.

Thank you for the lovely poem -- I think I will share this with my Mom.

The poem was truly beautiful. Its sad but should remind us all that life is fleeting. My NaNa always said. Tell those around you that you love them everyday. So that when they go over the bridge you will not have anything to be sorry about. Wisdom and Truth.

thats a tough poem ,, it breaks my heart every time I read it. like now..I miss my friend. I am glad I have another , and I know I'll see her again, I had a dream one night-- that I was in an open field all alone , a BIG open field, and I had a strange feeling,.,. so I just started to look around-- and away in the distance was a rottie just watching me.. just watching me.. It was her, my Katana , still watching over me , still watching over me........I miss her so...
