| Goodbye Taz I received a call yesterday afternoon from a really good friend of mine in Albuquerque, Debbie, (she was my partner in a pet sitting business)...About 4 months ago she took her 9 yo male pittie to the vet and discovered after a multitude of testing and specialists from all over the country reviewing the test results that he had an "idiopathic blood disorder"...vets have been completely blindsided and unable to diagnosis any specific cause. It seems his bone marrow completely shut down and stopped producing new marrow. The vet told Debbie to take Taz home and she would be lucky if he lasted the night. Well...he must have had other ideas, because he wasn't ready to leave the pain of this world behind until yesterday...he left to join his friends Sasha and Tuxedo at the bridge. I'm sure they were there to meet their old buddy... Debbie rescued Taz when he was a few months old...someone had beat him and he could barely walk and couldn't eat. He had major surgery to repair his broken cheek and various leg bones...he always had a unique smile after that. He was a real sweetheart when I "sat" with him while mom and dad traveled. He would crawl up in the bed and curl up right next to me and fall asleep... I will miss you Taz darling...Watch over your mom because she is having such a difficult time without you...You stole her heart the moment she found you lying almost unconscious in the bushes...Give Sasha and Tuxedo each a big "lick" for me and tell them I think about them often...You guys will run and play at the bridge until we meet again...Fly high on your wings of gold sweet boy!

| Re: Goodbye Taz Please let Taz's Mom know...first of all how comforting it is to know there are rescuers like her in this world and that I am deeply sorry for her loss. Taz did find his place on this side of the bridge, with her, and will be patiently waiting for his Mom (watching over her) and romping with all the others who have gone before. RIP Sweet Taz!! Again so so sorry. |

| Re: Goodbye Taz Arlene, Please pass my sympathy to your friend Debbie - it sounds like she was Taz's angel in life and he will continue now to be her angel. Even though she won't see him, he will be beside her as she stood by him from the minute she found him. RIP Taz. Kathy
