Re: That'll do, Elsa....

Oh, Becky.....I'm so sorry. Elsa will always be a treasure, and I'll bet my bottom dollar she'll never be far from your side, even if only in spirit.

My favorite memory of Elsa is walking along the lake with her and seeing her go from casual walk to prancy-dancy-leash-in-mouth as soon as we turned to head back. Lord, she gave me a giggle. What a girl.

Godspeed, Sweet Elsa! We will always miss you.

We are so sorry for your loss Becky...

Elsa is a wonderful example of what a rottweiler can achieve and she will be sorely missed.

Becky & Ivan,

I'm sorry to hear about Elsa. She was truly a great dog, and anyone who knows you, knows how proud you were of all of her accomplishments.

God speed, Elsa.

Re: That'll do, Elsa....

Thank you for posting this Beth, and thank you to all of you for your kind and caring words. There is such a huge emptiness in our house without her presence. We're managing though, spending our free time working (playing) out at Ewetopia with Arnie, Roca & Brev...Elsa wouldn't have it any other way.

And yes, HC is AKC Herding Champion (there are currently 5 Rottweilers who have earned that title...I believe that at this time only one of them is still with us). Els was one advanced cattle leg from a WTCh (ASCA Working Trial Champion) and halfway to her HTCh (AHBA Herding Champion)...in the process she earned 8 all breed herding High in Trials (yes we are proud of what she accomplished ...but that's nothing compared to who she was).

So sorry, to hear of Elsa's passing. My heart goes out to all that knew her, she was a very special girl indeed. May her legacy live on through her children, what a wondeful life she had.

What a magnificent girl...such accomplishments. I do understand as a Mom how proud we are of what they do....but like you said....it's what they are.
