Mercedes

I am glad to have found this forum. We lost our Mercedes on October 16, 2004. He would have been 9 on 1/10/05. We lost him suddenly and traumatically due to GDV. When we took him into the emergency hospital, we were going to do surgery. Unfortunately over 65% of his upper stomach was necrotized tissue and he had to be put down. What the vet thought that was a little odd, was that his stomach was completely empty, no food or water. We had him privately cremated. He was our first baby and such an awesome dog. We were finally able to get a puppy. He's now 9 weeks old and is named Lucius. We haven't had a puppy in 10 years, so we are often reminded of the *toddler* stage of puppyhood.
