| Re: Messages from 'beyond'? Reading the thread, crying, remembering Daisy & Savae, would like to share my story too: 1 year after a messy divorce I got a call from my ex that Savage (our 12-y-o GSD that stayed with him - part of the "mess") had gotten worse. He's had a horrible HD since he was a year old, it got progressively worse and he also developed heart problems, so for the last year of our marriage I was in and out of the vet. At the time of the call Savage was refusing to get up at all, did not eat, did not drink, was howling in pain... My ex was torn about PTS, but it was the right thing to do for our boy. So we went to the vet and held Savage's head while we let him go. Later that night I returned to my apartment and decided to unpack some boxes (lived by myself for over a year, but still had boxes stacked up in the corner of the room)... In one of the boxes, on the very top there was a picture of Savage as a puppy. To it was stuck a picture of my girl Daisy (my first dog, GSD that died at barely a year-old when I was 14)... I tried pulling them apart, but they were sealed together so tight that I was pulling the top layer off. I framed them the way I found them... Can't help but think that this was their way of telling me they found each other at the bridge and will wait for me there...

| Re: Messages from 'beyond'? When Talon died (on a Saturday), it was just my boyfriend and I at home. My daughter was spending the weekend at her dads. Brittany (daughter) came home Sunday afternoon. Her dog, Keyo, sleeps in her room, while Tarzan sleeps in mine. Around 11pm Brittany asks me who keeps nudging her bedroom door open (Talon died in the hall outside Brittany's room). No one was nudging her door open, but I responded that it was Talon saying his goodbye to her. Talon was 11.5 when he died, and Brittany was 14 at the time. They grew up together. In my heart, I know it was Talon saying goodbye - he loved her so much. It's been almost 6 months since Talon died - The pain is still here and I am still crying because I miss him so much. |

| Re: Messages from 'beyond'? My grandmother always said if you find coins on the ground, it means someone in heaven is thinking of you. When I came out of the vet's office after my first rottie Sierra was PTS, there was a quarter lying on the ground right in front of my car door. It had not been there when I went in. When I got home and got out of the car, there was a dime and some pennies on the ground where I got out. Now this was strange, because I don't carry change. For about a week, almost every time I got out of my car or went to get into my car, there would be a coin or two or three on the ground by my car door. I like to think that it was Sierra's way of saying goodbye. After my beloved Jazz was PTS in March, as I came home and opened the door, I distinctly heard the sound of his tags jingling on his collar. In the past he would get up and shake himself when I opened the door, so I would always hear the sound of his tags jingling when I came in the door. I still hear the sound occaisionally and sometimes see movement out of the corner of my eye, so I know he is keeping watch over me.

| Re: Messages from 'beyond'? I'm crying too! It has been 2 1/2 yrs that I lost Nico and only 6 months that I have lost Santo. When I lost Nico my world virtually fell apart. I always knew he was with us, cause I just felt him everywhere! My proof came WHEN..... Nico had a habit,(every now and again) he would knaw(sp?) on the side of the toilet paper! Ususally I would come home and it would be wet and big and useless, sometime he would nibble pieces off and it would be on the floor. He would not destroy it. Santo was about 6-7months old when I walked into the bedroom bath and saw the same sight???? The toilet paper just like Nico always left it! No one showed my Santo how to do that but Nico!!!! LOL! I know he's here, but to actually see that.....my husband swore, I taught it to Santo. Santo would also do this every once in a while! Sooooo......I believe Santo learned that from Nico!

| Re: Messages from 'beyond'? A few weeks after Kamen passed last July... my daughter who was not quite two at the time would occasionally say... "Kamen" and point to an area of her room. I know it was probably just the mind of a small child at work, but she was very calm and would look and smile while saying his name. This happened two or three times around a two week period... then it stopped. In my heart I'd like to think Kamen was around... I just couldn't see him. God I miss him. I do believe they go on... and meet us one day.![]() |
