Re: In loving memory of Duncan

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You did the right thing, and Duncan lived a wonderful life in your care. He'll be with you always.

You're in my thoughts.

Re: In loving memory of Duncan

I am so very sorry for your loss. You and Duncan were both very blessed to have shared so many wonderful memories together. He trusted you and you helped him to cross the rainbow bridge where he is now free of pain. He needed you to make this decision...inevitably one of the most difficult decisions we make for our rotties. My heart aches for you and I will keep you in my daily thoughts and prayers. I truly understand your feelings as I had to let me 7 1/2 yr old girlie go in Feb and my 10 yr old boy was just diagnosed with cancer also. Godspeed Duncan and may you fly on those most precious wings of gold that you so richly deserve! (Look for Sasha at the bridge, she will help you to find your way.)

Re: In loving memory of Duncan

Thank you everyone. I appreciate your kind words and understanding. I'm not a very active member of the forum, but it's nice to know that there are other people out there who are dedicated to this breed (and others as in many cases) and understand the situation I faced and the grief that followed.

God bless you all.

Re: In loving memory of Duncan

Sorry doesn't even cover how awful I feel. You were so brave to help him cross and let him be pain free. I do know how you are feeling. I did the same. You were his best friend and what an awsome gift you were able to give him. I wish we could help the humans we love in the same way. God's speed precious Duncan. Kiss my girl when you get your wings.

Re: In loving memory of Duncan

Chele, We lost our first boy to osteo - it was devastating to see him suffer so much. I know just how you feel. Terrible to lose them but thankful that they'll no longer be in pain. The heartache will pass but the memories of wonderful days spent with a great friend will always be there.
