Re: Tiler's gone to the bridge

This forum is very difficult for me as I lost my girl in Feb and one of my boys has just been diagnosed with cancer also...we have 1-6 months. But I feel that is important to be there for others as you were there for me in my hour of need. I am so very sorry to hear about Tiler as I have read so much about him on this site. He was a very special boy and he was the one place he wanted to be when he crossed to the bridge...in your arms. He will be your "forever angel" as he watches over you. Godspeed Tiler as you fly on your wings of gold. I am so sorry for the loss of your boy and I hope that time helps to ease the pain you are enduring.

Mike,

Your words spoke of pure love for your boy; Tiler is waiting and watching over his family at the bridge... you are in my prayers

Re: Tiler's gone to the bridge

Thank you one and all for your kind thoughts and prayers. It does help to know that there are other out there who feel the same way about their dogs as we do about ours. Maybe someday I'll be able to log on and write as eloquently as some others have, and tell you just what he meant to me and who he was; but for now please accept my thanks and deep appreciation.

Re: Tiler's gone to the bridge

My thoughts are with you Mike. Here is a poem I wrote for Blaise last year that I hope you find some comfort in.

I look at where you used to lay, and I cry.
I think about when we used to play, and I miss you.
I recall all your goofy ways, and I laugh.
I remember the days you were with me, and I smile.
I realize all that you have brought to my life, and I am grateful.
I see a rainbow in the Summer sky, and I know you are with me.

Re: Tiler's gone to the bridge

Dear Mike,
I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of Tiler. He was lucky to have a strong dad with him to help him to the bridge. We lost our girl Sheena last year. I know how awful this is. The only thing that kept me going was to know she was no longer in any pain and that we helped her to move on. Your decision was a gift to your wonderful dog. God bless you for being brave and comforting him through the process.
GO get your wings sweet Tiler and go hang out with the other rotties.
