| Gunner the SAR rottie I recently asked on another board for people to volunteer to write letters to the LA Times columnist who is calling for "rottie profiling". One man who owned and handled a SAR rottie, Gunner, wrote her a letter in which he mentioned that Gunner had gone to the bridge. It turns out that Gunner just left him on the 8th of this month. This was a truly wonderful rottie boy who searched for survivors at both OK City bombing and in NYC on 9/11. When not doing SAR, Gunner did therapy work. It took a lot for this man to write a letter about Gunner so soon after his passing but it will hopefully show this columnist how important our breed is to us. Please light a candle or say a prayer for dear Gunner (and his owner )tonight as he did so much for so many people during his time on earth. |
