Goodbye Bella girl....

...rest in peace old girl....you will be missed.

On Sunday, July 10th, Doug and I went to a friends house to do 'family portraits - they wanted a nice family pic of mom, dad, their son, and their 13 year old GSD, Bella, who, according to Dad, was not long for this world...how right he was.

Doug got some GORGEOUS pics (if I can find one I will post it in the Picture this forum) of the family, and had a really nice 11x16 print made up and delivered it to the dad today at work (Doug works with him at the FD). Doug called me this afternoon telling me that they had sent Bella to the Bridge last week...

Such a patient old girl she was while we adjusted her and brushed her and dealt with her 2 legged, 2 year old 'brother' and got 'the pic'....really nice dog...

Doug and I made a donation to GSD rescue in her name, with a card to be sent to the family...they did EVERYTHING right by this dog...she had a wonderful life with them...she will be missed...

Keep watch over your family Bella, I know they miss you...

Godspeed Bella. Anne, I bet those pictures are going to be cherished by Bella's family.

13 year is a grand old life but it's never long enough. I'm so sorry for your friend's loss.

Rest in peace, Bella.

Marty and his family knew Bella was going to be going soon, and we had planned to get up there a few weeks earlier...who knew she would go so soon after the pics were taken...or maybe she knew and stayed with them for that reason?

Doug said that Marty called his wife about the picture and they were both in tears (not Doug that I could tell)...they did see previews on the computer after he took them, but the actual 16x10 print really is nice...
