Godspeed Baker. Now go play up at the Bridge and be free of any pain you once had here on earth.

Anne my sympathies go out for you and everything you did to help save Baker.

Baker weighed 104 pounds when he tested positive for Lyme in early march of this year. Today he weighed 84 pounds when we said goodbye to him...

He had a good life here, despite my anger at the inlaws for their sometimes indifference to the dogs, he was loved very much and will be missed.

I will pass along your words of comfort to the family. Thank you.

Hmm..we seem to have had a sign he is OK up there...

We opened the paper to a flyer for Big Y supermarkets - on the top is an ad for the bakery department...guess what the ad said "BAKER'S DOZEN" sale...I didn't see what it was for...just made me smile.

He always was a food hound...guess that was his way of telling us he is OK...

I relayed your thoughts to my inlaws. They were very appreciative of the sentiments. Thank you again.

Anne- I'm sorry for your inlaws loss, but I'm relieved to know that Baker is finally at rest. What an ordeal this has been for all of you; especially poor Baker. RIP good boy!

Once again, thank you all for your kind words.

I have to edit myself - the vets name is Dr Reynolds (where did I get Goodson?!?!). We got a nice card from him today, and there was also a phone message tonight when I got home.

Mom in law snapped a few pictures of Baker - when I do not know, maybe last weekend...? I will post one in the Picture This forum, along with a pic from his healthier days...ya'll will see why I advocated letting him go a long time ago so strongly...

Oh Ann I am sorry for you all. I know this was an ordeal for you and poor Baker and I'm glad it's over for both of you.

I love the sign he sent you! He is probably having a blast with all our friends.
