Sorry to hear about your dog. Its been 5 weeks since my Rottie died. I'm not over it yet, I keep hearing his chain. But... I believe that he's in a better place and I know he hated it when I was unhappy. And I'm sure your dog would be miserable thinking you are mourning and not happy. So... work day to day find others your area to talk to and share your feeling,if you can, with them. I've going to a family who raises and rescues Rotties, I'm there almost everyday and it helps.
