Lance is gone...

yesterday we had to put lance down...it was the hardest thing i've ever had to do.

he had been suffering from seizures for the past 2 years. early thursday morning he seized and never came back

he was my first dog, i had him for over 13 years. he was a true friend, and will be dearly missed

Burns, I'm so sorry to hear about Lance and the decision you had to make. He had a good life with you, living 13yrs. is a testament to your love and devotion.

Burns, I am very sorry for your loss. My Ridgeback Freddy, has cancer and kidney failure and I know he will soon go to the bridge-it is so hard-Freddy is also 13. We love them so much and it is so hard to let go.... :(

My thoughts are with you. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. You two shared quite a number of years together...remember them all.
Take care.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in any pain but in the glory of the bridge! God has made one more angel to watch over you! Consider yourself lucky to have loved and been loved in return, that is something that some never know.

Burns:

I'm so sorry for you. I know how hard it was to make the decision you did, but I also know you did right and kindly by your Lance. Many of us have had to make the heartbreaking decision you did for our dearly loved dog friends, and you have all our sympathy and understanding.

Sorry for your great loss. We lost our West Wind Roxie last Oct at the age of 11. We got West Wind's Magical Maggie very shortly after and she is called magical because she saves our broken hearts. You will never replace Lance, but another puppy would be 'in memory" of a wonderful dog.

You have my deepest sympathy and understanding. I also lost a dog, Sultan, to Epilepsy and had to send one of our Rottweilers, Kim, to the bridge today. I know what you're going through and believe me, you're not alone.

i want to thank all of you for your kind words.

it has been about a month since my friend passed. the days have gone quickly but his memory remains strong.

the companionship and caring of true friends are the world's greatest treasures. these are two things i hope we can all find with our pets.
