Jesse passed this morning

Jesse was an 8 yr old girl that came into S.A.I.N.T.S. rescue when her breeder died late Dec/04. We knew shortly after she came there that she had cancer and she would not be with us long.
Jesse loved everyone and she even learned to like the numerous cats that shared her new home. All Jesse wanted to do was curl up beside you for a cuddle. She loved wandering out in the garden in the sun and thats where she passed this morning. She was with her caregiver and had the sun on her face and loving arms holding her.
Jesse was not my dog, really she was nobody's dog. But in the end, she was loved and safe. She now plays at the bridge with all the others that have gone before her.

Bless you for all that you are doing with this wonderful organization.

I hope you seek comfort in knowing that Jesse was loved during the last weeks of her life.

Rest in peace sweet girl!

Re: Jesse passed this morning

Is this the rottie girl for whom you needed the wind chimes?

So sorry. At least she went peacefully in her sleep.... what a bonus that she got to lay out in our beautifull sunshine this morning and just fall asleep with loving arms holding her. She is now reunited with her old owner.

Good-Bye, Jesse.....you were a good dog. I remember reading about this case on Petfinder.....or maybe it was one of your siblings.....I'm glad you were loved.

Re: Jesse passed this morning

I went to your S.A.I.N.T.S. link previously and read about all the animals.... they were very lucky to find their way to this outstanding organization.

How lucky Jesse was to go to sleep in the sun with her friend... God's blessings to all of you. You are truly making a difference.

You did a wonderful thing for Jesse and allowed her to live the rest of her days as part of a family. She knew your love. RIP sweetie

Re: Jesse passed this morning

Just so there is no mistake made, Jesse did not belong to me but I feel the loss even so. I am only one of a handful of volunteers that helps out at S.A.I.N.T.S. The woman that runs the place is the real angel here. All the animals live in harmony there because of the work Carol does. The cats mingle with the dogs and the rabbits and are allowed in with the sheep if they behave. No one is ever scolded for having accidents in the house, they are only ever loved. They eat what they please and spoiled in their last days.

Volunteering there is proving to be one of the hardest things I have ever done. I was there the day Jesse and Jazz came to us, I held her and told her not to be afraid. I walked around the property with her, or just lied in the sun with her nestled up next to me. She, as so many of them do, stole my heart. I knew that she only had a few days the last time I was there. Try as I might not to fall in love, Jesse managed to sneak into my heart and her loss is felt as if she was one of my own.

Jazz has bonded well with all the others but now seems to have taken to a little one that came in last week. This wee thing curls up between Jazz's legs where she is safe and I think a comfort to Jazz now that Jesse has past. Somedays its too hard to even think that they are all going to be gone sooner than later. Hug your pups

Re: Jesse passed this morning

Godspeed Jesse. How wonderful she got to go to sleep in a garden of sunshine and the arms of someone who cared. She will be with her owner and share happy times forever. Who knows, special flowers may grow where she lay.
