We miss you Dew!

Today we just lost our boy, Dewey who would have been 8 years old on Jan. 3rd. Dewey was a great dog, gentle and loving but protective. He was also always great with our baby even as she crawled all over him and poked at him. We lost him to the same bone cancer that took his sister, Nico.
He never tried to escape. Never bit anyone, but always made us feel safe.

Dewey put up a good fight to disease that progressed slow at first then very fast in the end. He spent his last day in the grass in our front yard, where he also took his last breath in my arms when the vet came at 5:10 pm.

We can never express how much happiness you brought to our lives and how much sadness there is now that you are gone. We love you and miss you soooooooooooooooooooooooo much Dewey! I hope there really is a place for you to meet all your old friends and meet new one's. Love, Deb, Claude, Kyra, Devine
