Remembering Our Beloved Brutus

Brutus, our beloved Rottweiler was our friend, guardian, playmate, pet, and magnificent companion of 10 years passed a way on March 2nd 2004. Brutus loved and guarded his family with an intensity that is beyond most animals and his deportment was 'perfect in all weathers.' There was never a need to lock our doors as no stranger in their right mind would venture past Brutus, however, never in his lifetime did he harm or attack anyone, including family cats. In this he showed remarkable judgement and restraint and it was his natural instinct. He was truly a gentle giant at 30 inches height and 160 lean pounds. In his adult and later years he was the perfect companion for our many grandchildren. In our minds Brutus was the King of Beasts. He was buried at our home on that fateful evening in the shade of a beautiful ornamental tree and his loving family was in attendance. We had a small service. We will never forget him or his great love of and his devotion to our family and his gentleness, strength, and courage. In this life he was..ever by my side..and in death he will be.. ever on my mind. Bob & Kaye
