Thank you all. Michelle has been the one who has been keeping you all up to date with our tragedy, as I have not been in the state of mind to do so. You are all good people, and true lovers of our breed. I can find a bit of peace when I come to the forum

We are both hanging in there, and are in the good care of loved ones, who deeply love Mr. Zeus, as we do. I can feel him sitting here with me right now. But as a selfish human being, I am heart broken. Heart broken because I cannot see him. Heart broken, because our adventures, and fun times are over. I Love him so much. I wish you all could have met him. His personality and energy was contagious.

1 year and three months was such a fraction of time, but as small as it was I would not trade it for anything. 10 minutes of joy from a Rotty is worth a lifetime of sadness without one.

It is so obvious how much you love Zeus and how much his passing hurts you. I too wish that we could have met him. He sounds like such a wonderful boy! I am so glad that you have loved ones to help comfort you thru this difficult time.

That last statement you made has me sitting here in tears. "Ten minutes of joy from a Rotty is worth a lifetime of sadness without one" No matter how much pain we feel when we lose them, the love and happiness they provide for the short time they are here is worth every tear we shed.

Ah Nathan and Michelle, I'm so sorry to hear about Zeus's passing. Time will help to lessen the pain of losing him, but the sadness from his absence will be felt for a long time. Be sure to come here for comfort and support. Many of us have been through the pain of losing a much loved canine companion and we'll do our best to help you during this difficult time. Take good care of each other, and cherish the memories of Zeus always. I'm truly sorry and saddened by your loss. RIP Zeus.

I am so, so sorry for your loss. You're right, God must have needed him. I pray that He now gives you both the strength to deal with this terrible loss through your wonderful memories of Zeus. Please take comfort in knowing that He is with you, as is your boy, looking over you from above. Again, my deepest sympathies to you both.
