Our Zitoe is gone

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...f/fbac32bc.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...5/fbac3161.jpg

Last night our precious Zitoe died unexpectedly. These pictures are of her at 6 months, she was only one year old. At about 10:30 last night she started gasping, stretched out, and seemed to pass out. She was obviously choking on something but despite all of our efforts, digging in her throat and my husband performing mouth to snout in the back seat of the car all the way to the vet, she's gone. It's so sudden we just don't know what to think. The vet pulled a peice of food out of the way back of her throat that we were unable to get to. She assured us that there was nothing more we could have done and that this was probably a reoccuring problem she had that we were unaware of until she just finally got something caught in her throat that she couldn't dislodge herself. We are so sad. She was so young, so healthy, such a sweet heart and I was looking forward to her meeting our son when he arrives in May. Her sister Maya is acting a little lost, a little confused. The poor girl was there while we were in a panic trying to revive Zitoe and get her to the car and poor Maya got hurredly put in the laundry room. She looked for her sister when we got home from the vet last night, sniffing around the house and today went out in the yard and walked the whole perimeter looking like she didn't know what to do. I think she thought that Zitoe just went for a ride without her and would be back soon. We are terribly heartbroken but know that God has a plan in everything that happens, even the unpleasant. It's just hard to think of not ever kissing her nose again or getting huge sloppy kisses or watching her tail wag her entire butt when she saw the cat.

She was a darling girl.

I am so sorry.... what a horrible shock. I agree that things must happen for a reason, but it certainly doesn't help ease the pain when you lose someone you love. My heart goes out to you...

Re: Our Zitoe is gone

She was so beautiful, lovely smile so sorry she left so soon but she is just waiting at the bridge for more playtime. At least you know you did everything to keep her a little more. Can I ask you... what kind of food she choked with?
