There are so many in shelters and foster homes. All breeds and mixed. I've been looking at numerous on line sites here in Phoenix. What a shame. Well, maybe it's Mucho that is pushing me to check out a new little man to brighten me up. I'll keep you posted.

just saw this

I am sorry for your loss - and I too believe that he taught you how to love so deeply that you could share that love with the next dog he is guiding you to

I am so sorry for your loss...I know what it feels like and time will be the healer when the greatfulness of having spent time together overcomes the grief. In our case, getting a puppy really helped heal the big hole in our hearts and we thought of our new puppy as a tribute to the unfailing love and unconditional acceptance that our first Rottie taught us.

So Sorry....

I am so sorry about your loss. I lost my first boy in November 2002 just shy of his 6th birthday and it still feels like yesterday and my second in July he was 10 1/2, I had both of them since they were puppies.

One of the vet techs sent me a card with a wonderful saying that has helped me when I feel sad and perhaps it will be helpful to you too:

REMEMBRANCES

We can't feel saddened over the loss of those we love without first remembering the joy of loving them. The real sadness would have been never having them in our lives at all. Remembering in a journey the heart takes, back into at time that was and our thoughts are the only tickets needed to ride. We who have truly loved are blessed. REMEMBER EVERYTHING.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of those guys, but I am blessed to have had them in my life and knowing I did the best I could for them as long as I could.

My thoughts are with you.

God bless,

Thanks to all again for all your thoughts and wonderful words. It's been 2 weeks now and oh do I miss him. I just keep thinking of the fun we had. I'm putting together a large album of just Mucho pictures with us and by himself. I love seeing his face even on paper. Happy New Year All!

Mucho,
You will have many friends waiting for you at the bridge.
Until you guys see each other again, know that you have people that so understand how you feel.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It has been exactly one month since I lost my BJ and it still hurts. I don't hurry home from work any more - it's just not the same. But, at least our boys are running around and without pain now.
