the right decision

Thank you so much for all your kind words.

I am crying as i write this as i have made the very difficult decision to let Lennox go with dignity.

I spent the whole night with him last night, and this morning things are no better. He keeps trying to come to me, and the sadness and despair in his eyes when he can't do it , is just unbearable. He can't even lie down comfortably cos his legs won't go where he wants them to ... they collapse from under him , and his cries are like a knife thru my heart.

I hope that i at least managed to give him all the love and affection that he deserved in the short time I was able to have him. I feel privileged to have been a part of his life, be it only briefly.

I am taking him to the vets at 5 today, once my children have said their goodbyes.

Lennox , my big brave boy , I will always hold you dear in my heart .... I only wish I had found you sooner. Goodnight my darling.

God speed Lennox....fly on the wings of Angels.

My thoughts will be with you and your family as you grieve...he will watch over you from above. He knew love and comfort in his time with you and will leave this earth knowing only that.

Remember the good times and how he made you laugh...I will light a candle tonight to help him see his way.

I'm in tears with you

Oh goodness, I'm sitting here crying right along with you sweetie:( and what a terrific mom you are to let him go now. That is the best gift you could give him and Oh what love you have for him. My heart breaks fro you as I know each time I had to put one down it was the hardest thing I ever did in my life:( . Bless you for having such a kind soul, in more ways then one. He received more love in a couple weeks then many do in a lifetime, that my dear is what counts! I commend you for this brave decison and my prayers go out to you. Hugs to your whole family during this difficult time and a special one for you!! God Bless and may he soon give you peace.

Judy

Always remember that the very most wonderful thing anyone has ever done for this boy is that you have tried for him, and that you have loved him. I'm sure that he will light your way as an angel for the rest of your life.

I wish you strength at the time you have to let Lennox cross over the Bridge. You are doing what is best for him.

You're doing right by him. Sometimes it's all we can do, but at least we can do that.

I'm so sorry, it is a painful decision to make, but the best for him.

All he will know that he is in your arms when he drifts off to sleep, and that is the most peaceful and considerate thing you can do for him.

Our deepest sympathies......

I am so sorry for your loss, but it sounds like you gave him much love while you had him.

I'm so sorry. I know how hard this must be for you & believe me I understand how attached you can get to an animal in a short amount of time. Please know that you'll be in my prayers.

I'm sorry that you have to make this difficult decision. But know that you are making the right choice for your boy. He will be free from pain and he will know that you love him. Godspeed, Lennox.
