Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about Ubu's passing. She sounds like she was such a nice girl and you did such a selfless thing by letting her stay in her home with her friends. It sounds like she had a long and happy life, and you were a big part of that. I know that there isn't much I can say that will make it any better, but just know that you and Ubu are in my thoughts and prayers.

Just like you told me when Mia left, you WILL see her again someday. I'm so sorry, dear.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear about UBU. She had a good life thanks to you and some other very special people. Now she is whole again, and the pain is gone. That is the greatest gift you could give her.

She is always in your heart and memories of her will keep you close until you meet again. Rest in peace UBU.

Lori

I'm so sorry for your loss. It does sound like Ubu had a great life filled with love. I know she will be missed, but she lives on in our heart and the memories of a life shared.

My first Rottie was named Ubu Roi. What is behind your naming your girl Ubu? It is a very different name that isn't heard very often. I found the name in a book of surrealistic artists and the character Ubu Roi just caught my attention. So Ubu it was for my girl.

Please pass on my condolences to your friends
sue

Ubu Name

She was from a "U" litter (Before I knew better) and at the time there were many TV shows from "Black Dog Productions" that showed a Black Lab with a Frisbee and a voice over would say "Sit Ubu sit". She was a solid black GSD so I thought that fit her well. She was also called Boo Boo girl cause she was a bit spooky (timid) at times when she was younger. With lots of training she went on to being one of the first dogs in Rockville, Maryland to pass her "off leash" temperment test that allowed her to be in parks and playgrounds within the Rockville City limits "off-leash". I was very proud of her.

So sorry Lisa

I'm so sorry Lisa this is late, my computer was down again so I was unable to come here:(. I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you and hope you and your friend are o.k.. It's never easy losing a pet, they give unconditional love and are part of our families. Please take care and tell your friend he's in my thoughts and prayers as well. God bless you through this difficult time.

Lisa,my computer has been out of order too,but I am so sorry to read about "UBU"..12.5 is a ripe old age tho',not that that helps any,it's just so nice that he got to stay that long...So sorry you had to leave him,but if he was happy there that made it alright...Happy is such a precious word and not that easy to find....Big Leah and all these gone ahead showed him all the ropes and where the most fun could be had the best walk to take, the sweetest brooks to drink of, the warmest places to sleep and flowers to smell, like "Bambi" now he can show others where he likes best, what a reunion we will all have when we all meet again on that glorious shore.........

Thanks for your (and everyones) kindness - that is the way I am getting through this. I see them all together again in my mind and I know they are happy and young again playing at the Bridge.

Lisa,
I'm sorry to hear about your girl. They give so much and ask for so little and it breaks our heart when we can't give them a longer life. Although he can't take her place, let Bucky help heal your heart.

Lisa,

I'm so sorry to hear about Ubu. I had no idea you were going through this, until I read a post elsewhere. I normally don't check the Rainbow Bridge section like I should. It's so heartbreaking.

I know she's in a much better place now and out of her discomfort. I hope you are able to find peace in this. I know how difficult it is to loose a loved one.
