| Luka (for those that remember our previous thread) I just felt like contacting those of you who remembered our thread where Luka (my bitch) was eventually diagnosed with a rare cancer after weeks of investgations. I am distraught at having to tell you that she was put to sleep on Saturday. Although she recovered well from her operation and seemed to be doing ok, even enjoying her routine walks, she seemed to slip backwards a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping it was the side effects of the drugs she was on, but I suppose deep down I knew she wasn't going to recover the same. I was horrified when the vet said the cancer had returned. I am sorry to bring this to the forum but you were so supportive during the investigations and I had promised to let you know how she did. Well she did really well and was such a very brave girl. I am so proud of her. I can't tell you properly how I feel, except it is as though my whole world has collapsed. I also felt the need to tell you. Sorry. I am unable to say anymore. Love to you and your rotties.

| I'm so sorry for the loss of Luka. I know she was very special to you, and it now seems like the world should stop. Poor dear, you and Luka will be in my thoughts. :( I'm very sorry.

| Janice, I'm so sorry she had to go. :( What a lucky girl she was to have had a mom like you and what a lucky mom you are to be able to hold her in your heart forever. Judi's right, if you listen to the breeze, she'll be there for you still. :) |
