The last one

I have not to be this forum in almost two years. Today I had to say good bye to my last rottweiler. I said good bye to my female almost two years ago. Last night I lost my male. It hurts so much and I denied the fact that he was gone for almost two hours. I knew his time was almost up. He had thyroid problems and cushings disease. I vowed to make sure he was happy until his last day. He loved going places and camping. We did that every single weekend for the last month. I never knew how loyal a dog could be until I owned my two rotts. I can honestly say that I will never own any other kind of dog again. I have went through love ones dying and leaving. But to lose my last best and loyal friend in the world is way harder. I own cats too but they can never replace my dogs. I think the hardest thing to have to go through right now is knowing the fact that I will never again come home and see their faces on a bad day. Their tales wagging. There is so much more that one could say in how they feel but I am pretty sure that everyone here has gone through the same thing.

I'm so sorry. Losing a dog is horrible. Just know that both of your "kids" are waiting for you. They are together forever and are not in any sort of pain. I hope that will give you some sort of comfort. You are in my thoughts!

So sorry for your loss :( :(
We all know how painfull it is.
Just think that they were very lucky having you to love them.
And they will always live there, in your heart forever...
Take care

I'm so sorry. Remember the happy times and how much love you gave them and they gave you.

When you're ready you'll find another that needs your love.

I know that pain of coming home and not seeing that beautiful rottie face smiling at me. I lost my most wonderful girl 5 weeks ago today. It has not gotten easier, she was so much of my life and i still catch myself all the time thinking or doing things that I did when she was still here. All death is hard but I think when you get that one dog; that one whose heart is tied to yours with golden strands that can never break, it is even harder. Non dog people dont understand - she wasnt a PET, she was my BEST FRIEND! You never get over the pain of losing a best friend.
