My baby Darla

I am very sad to have to write this email

My baby girl Darla was sleeping in the kitchen and awoke in a seizure . Her heart was obviously stopping and starting and causing severe oxygen shortage. She died in our arms despite CPR and mouth to mouth. She fought it to the very end. At 10:50 pm she went to the Rainbow bridge to play with her siblings and wait for me

My happy girl was just playing tug of war with me on the way home from work tonight and now she is gone.

Anyone who would like to reply to this email PLEASE send the reply to frontier@conknet.com as the webtv mailbox will fill up and bounce mail

Many thanks for all the support over the past 14 months

Diane,

I am so sorry for your loss. Darla was quite the special girl and quite the cutie! Both of you are in my thoughts. She had a great life while she was here thanks to you. I know she is playing tug of war at the bridge right now.

Diane,

You and your family have my deepest sympathy for your loss. I remember reading the happy post when Darla's litter was whelped....and the very, very sad posts that followed...

Every once in a while; there's a special dog WITH HEART whelped.... Darla's might have been weak physically....but her spiritual heart never, ever quit. That young girl's heart was attached to a soul that ran very deep......

I really believe that with every dog we love... we're given those dogs to show us different things and teach us..

Darla's struggles and fights..... sure do say to me "never give up. Fight till the end. When the physical fight ends; it won't matter because you've touched so many and made THEM stronger that in very good ways; the fight continues..."

How lucky are you to have been given the gift of a dog that has shown so many valuable lessons in HEART. A strong heart...not a weak one.

Happy romping, Darla! Don't you worry about a thing.... lots of people will take care of your MaMa until you can do it again. Go have some fun......

I am very sorry to hear that Darla died. It must have been
really tough for you, but it is wonderful that she had the opportunity to leave this world, in your arms, and hearing your voice. There really are no words that make this experience any easier. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. sincerely,

I'm so sorry to hear that poor Darla has passed away. She was so brave to have fought it to the very end and I feel deeply for your loss.:( I remember how you told her story of being the only surviving pup in the litter that you worked so hard to save.:( (BIG HUGSS):(

So sorry

:( I am so sorry about your loss. I can't imagine.

My friend recently lost her dog of many many years, and went to a Christmas tree memorial for pets (its a fundraiser for shelter pets). She said a speaker said that pets are the most generous kind of love we give, because we love them with all our heart, knowing from the moment they come into our lives that we will most probably outlive and grieve them.

Yet we love them all the same.

I am so sorry that Darla has crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. I have followed her story and pictures from the time she was a puppy, beautifull little girl. You and your family have our deepest sympathies.
