Pure breed? Not that me or my family cares

Hello all I am new to the forums and I am a new rottie owner. I have taken my time looking into the breed for about 6 years now. I got a puppy from a family that got it from a friend, but then realized they could not take care of her. Not that I really care because she is so beautiful but I wanted to try and find out if she is pure breed. The people I got her from did not dock her tail which I am starting to like more and more, but the real question about her breed would be she is really fuzzy, lol. She is just over 9 weeks and she seems to be a big girl, the vet said that she is healthy and she is just a fury rott, then another person asked what she was mixed with so I was a little confused. Like I said before I do not care if she was half poodle (not that she is, lol) not only do I love her my whole family has instantly fell in love with her when we picked her up. So if anyone has any answers to my question it would be great, I am going to try and post a couple of pics with this. Thank you all and I just want to say that I love the forum.

Re: Pure breed? Not that me or my family cares

She looks 100% pure Rott to me - she is gorgeous. If you mean fuzzy as in her coat that is just her puppy coat which will change in the coming weeks. I suspect it is the fact that she has a tail that makes peole ask what she is crossed with. When docking was banned here in the UK the most common question from the 'general public' became what's it crossed with (the general public are out of the loop and not aware docking was banned!)

Enjoy your puppy

Re: Pure breed? Not that me or my family cares

Awww what a cutie!

She looks pure bred to me, and not too fuzzy either. Small rottie puppies all have baby "fuzz" which they lose at about 12- 14 weeks of age. Until then they resemble little fuzzy bears. Some have longer hair than others, one of the pure bred pups at our Rottweiler Association puppy classes had long hair, much longer than your pup. It's now a month later and she's a sleek as any rottie I've ever seen.

Enjoy your puppie, she's a darling!

I'll echo the others, she looks pure rottie to me. The fuzziness is her baby coat. You will find many people, even when she grows up, will think she's a mix due to her tail.

She's adorable btw. And her name is??? Look forward to hearing about how she's doing.

she is very cute and all Rottweiler IMO. As other have said the fuzzy coat is her puppy coat and will change over the next month or so.

Pic 3 says it all. Markings, shine on the top of the head, ear size and location. Rottie for sure. I don't know how people can say she is 100% though, she could easily be 90% and still look this way.

she looks rottie and cute. You could have DNA testing done but that is really expensive and you would have to find someone who does it. I read in the AKC Gazette they can now test for breed.
Who cares, just love her and train her and she will be a jewel for many years to come.
