Re: Questions about Marley's Coat...with pics

Thanks so much for taking a peek at Marley and offering up your thoughts.

I LOVE his coat, I think he's such a handsome boy...and I really love when someone smiles at Marley, asks to pet him and THEN asks what kind of dog he is. LOL.

Re: Questions about Marley's Coat...with pics

I've seen several long coated rotties. On walks, at pet stores, ect. some have longer hair than Marley, and one was about the same as your boy.

It seems that people are less fearful of the rotts with the longer coats. Maybe they look more approachable due to the fluffiness, or maybe people don't realize what breed it really is.

Either way, long coated or short coated Marley is a very good looking boy.

It's funny b/c I couldn't imagine Marley being any other way :)
The furminator.

He's adorable, and he's coated. The head and bone and structure in the coated dogs is generally very very nice... and the temperaments tend to be the same.

Re: Questions about Marley's Coat...with pics

Thank you :) He is very gentle and I like how people end up liking him before they know he's a Rottweiler and then I have an opportunity to explain that his coat doesn't make him anyless of a Rottweiler...that his temperment is that of a Rottie :D I jump on the chance to educate others :)

I was going to get that ferminator but it says it removes the undercoat..and Marley doesn't have a top coat as he shoudl and I'm afraid that thing will remove his hair and make him to look like a goober. LOL
