| chewing of furniture I have a 12 week old puppy that loves to chew on everything. When I see him do this I usually try giving him one of his toys to chew on. The problem is that this does not always work and he tries going back to chewing on the furnture, clothes, or my sons toys. My question is that I know there is sprays out there that you can put on furniture to stop dogs from biting them. I'm not really sure that I want to put spray all over that I'm not sure what is in it. Does anyone know of a home made remedie that I could put on certain furniture. That way I know it is safe for my dogs and family! |

| Re: chewing of furniture If your puppy is leashed to you or another responsible adult or is crated when a responsible adult can't watch him or her, it's difficult for a puppy to do anything inappropriate. What are you doing in terms of traning? How much physical exercise is your puppy getting? Puppies and dogs who are worn out from mental and physical exercise are more interested in napping than doing things you wish they wouldn't. Your puppy, therefore, is chewing because you're letting him. |

Therefore taking away any possibility of him doing something wrong. If you cannot watch him, in the crate he goes. |
