Confused about height

Hi buddies um a new comer in rottie world.so i dont know much about rotties.i got a female rottie last month.now she is about 4 months old.she is awesome but i m worried about her height ,she is only 15 inch up to shoulder.is it normal? or what is the everage height for a 4 month rottie.if ne 1 know bout this plz help!

Hi,

Don't worry about her height. Believe it or not it is an advantage. The fact that she is growing slowly is much healthier for the developement of her bones and joints.

Alot of people think "Bigger is better" with Rottweilers, which couldn't be further from the truth. Slow steady growth is always best.More than likely she will hit a growth spurt around 6-8 months.

Females are usually shorter than males too. She will probably grow to be around 20 inches tall or so.

an average size bitch is actually around 22-25 inches at the withers. She reach her total adult height around 12 months or so with the most of it by the time she is 8-9 months old. She seems like she should be about the right height for her age right now.
