is this a mix rotti

i dont what type of rottie this is cause i get mixed opinions. some people think hes half husky cause he has one blue eye, i just think its genetic cause he looks like a full rotti, hes 3 months old so i cant tell to much

He does look like a purebred. Where did you get him from? Has that eye been checked out by the vet? It does not look normal...almost looks like a cataract on it.

What a cutie! He looks like a pure rott to me. I have never heard of a rottweiler having a different colored eye so I will leave that to the experts. Did your pup come from a breeder? (I may have missed some of your previous posts). If so, I would check with the breeder on this and I would definately bring the pup into the vet to have it checked out.

He does look like a purebred. I have a 1 1/2 yr old Rott/husky mix. His colors are Rott, but he's tall and lanky like a husky. I can't see if your pup has his tail docked from the pic, but if he still has his tail that's the dead give away if he's a husky mix. They keep it curled up almost always.

whatever he is, man is he adorable! This is a totally uneducated guess, but the only dogs I'm familiar with that commonly come with two different color eyes are german shepards. Maybe down the family line there's a shepard?

What a cutie pie.
Before I got Dodge I looked at some husky/rottie mixes at the shelter and they looked more rottie except for the eyes and the brown markings were more of a buff/beige color.
I too would be interested in hearing where he came from.
He sure does look like a purebred except for that blue eye.
Whatever he is, he is adorable, and I hope he brings you years of joy.
After following a thread on so called designer dogs, If he does turn out to be rottie/husky does that make him a rusky?

Australian Shepherds also have blue eyes; but your dog does look "full" rottie. Is he blind in that eye; or any other vision problems?

thanks he is very cute he kills me when he looks at me like that, well i havent noticed any problems with his sight he has good cordination from what i can tell, i didnt pick the breeder so i never got to ask to many questions but i think taking him to the vet would probly be the best thing, in that picture he was still just over 2 months thats why his fur is still kinda poofy but its turning into rotti hair

yah hes cute my mom hates dogs but she loves him, i dont think hes bling in the eye because his cordination is good and its not fogy to be a cataract it just his eye is blue, but i guess seeing the vet would be the best thing to do, he still had his puppy fur he was just over 2 months in the pic heres another if it helps, i didnt buy him my brother chose him so i didnt talk to the breeder

I have a dog with two different coloured eyes as well, one of my shih tzus. She has no vision problems at all.

In certain breeds it is common enough to have dogs with two different coloured eyes....but those breeds often have brown eyes as well as blue in the breed standard. I know a few Huskies, as well as Australian Shepherds with these eyes.

Rottweilers never have blue eyes. Eyes are always brown, the darker the better...that's the standard for the breed. If this puppies eye is really blue, then it must be a mix.

To the OP, please take your puppy to the vet...he should have been checked out the day you brought him home. He may need vaccinations as well as worming.

Over here I have seen border collies with this condition and I believe it is genetic but never having one myself I have never researched it

Either way he is adorable and I think it adds to his character.

I agree...If your rott isn't going to be a "show" dog, then it doesn't really matter. It might be a factor if you intend to stud him later...
