| Hair Raising Experience - Amazing Sense of Smell My girl has just started raising her hair when there's nothing there. A couple days ago we were out in the yard and she got all alert with her nose in the air and started pacing around, then her hair came up. There was no one in sight, but I think she may have been alerted by a funny smell in the air. I didn't notice anything at first, but when I walked around I noticed a strange burning sort of smell, kinda like and electrical fire. I found out late the neighbour 3 houses away was sanding the finish off a piece of furniture. I'm amazed at how well she can smell things out. Our last rottie sniffed around like a normal dog, but Kali sniffs relentlessly. Even this morning she was raising up her hair just smelling where another dog had been. Not sure if the hair raising is such a good thing but I'm sure I would appreciate if she let me know if there was something bad in the air. |
