I think you might have a Corgiweiler.... He's very cute! Was he born without the tail or did they dock him?

Re: Don't know if this is a mix rott?

lol...thanks... When i bought him his tail looks like a normal rottweiler's tail(short to no tail)? Some of my friends said that he might be mixed with a retreiver, but others said that the white tip on his toes and legs will fade away after he grows up and that is why I am really confused with Russell's origin.

Anyway, he is now 2 and half months and growing quite fast! Also, he has tons and tons of energy. I took him out for at least 3-5 hours each day and boy, this dog keeps jumping and running around after i took him back in.. I'll post up another picture later to see his transformation...
Sad that you actually paid money for a mutt when shelters are bursting at the seams with so many puppies...purebreds and mixes.
Was this puppy sold with registration papers? If so, then you could make a big stink with the AKC and get your money back.

How much does your puppy weigh now at 10 weeks? He looks cute...but tiny.

What a sweetheart!!! It's so hard to tell with puppies...mix, yes...not sure with what. My long haired rott has a small white spot under his chin...but your pup has quite a bit of white...the black and tan markings seem a bit off too (too much tan)...but sooooo cute!

Re: Don't know if this is a mix rott?

How cute he is! Look at that "Rottweiler intensity!" Check out that proud stance and confidence shining thru! Definately a mix, tho. The few white hairs that may occur but "shed out" in a purebred are generally chest only, or single stray hairs somewhere else.

This one, rather obviously, has it on his toes, and chin. That's not a spot Rottie's have ever had trouble with. Kind of makes him look like a Swissy, except his legs are definately SHORT! I'm with Moondog...a Corgiweiler. His snout looks a bit more Corgiish as well. Absolutely ADORABLE! I'm sure he's a welcomed addition just the same and will be the bestest dog you ever had, right?

Russell? As in Russell Stover? Sweet chocolate confections? Candy? Mmmmmm! You can love him up for me! Just don't EAT him.

Actually you still have to pay adoption fees, which were $250 for our puppy.

Adopting from a shelter is different than buying from a byb. When you do (buy from a byb) you are only supporting them, and putting $$ in their pockets for the next breeding . When you adopt from a shelter, the "breeders" get no money.

It is kind of the same theory as puppy-mills. If you "boycott" them, they will stop breeding.

It is not about the money you paid, it is about who you paid it to .
