I gave you advice, your Rottie puppy's breeder gave you advice, jlaack gave you advice.

MADBHWOYY gave you contrary advice.

All any of us can do is offer advice, based on our experience and knowledge.

My concern is that you know what you--and the puppies--possibly face if you decide to keep both. It's your decision, of course, what you end up doing.

Good luck.

Re: My rottweiler and Pitbull.

Two very strong breeds! What will you do when they start pulling you while walking? I just saw a program the other day that a Pit can pull 3 times its weight. Don't know stats for a Rottie pulling but I do know that they are strong, as we all do.

Can you get your other member of your household to join you on your walks so you don't have to walk them both alone?

I am with others, no two puppies of the same age. It just isn't fair to either one of them.

Another thought, I would not want to have two dogs going through the stubborn teens at the same time.

Re: My rottweiler and Pitbull.

I've had 2 stubborn teens before. Took alot, but it was worth it, and yeah me and someone in my household walk the dogs together, i take the rottie and she takes the pit.. I've owned 2 boxer x pits before.

While other members make suggestions re: the issue of raising 2 puppies, I'd like to address the above. I have a Rottweiler and a Pit Bull (they're more than a year apart in age.) They got along great for 3 years, the getting along ended then and they've been separated for the past year. I'm lucky, my house is set up so there are plenty of rooms to use as "airlocks." It still isn't easy and it causes alot of worry on a daily basis. Be prepared to do that in case something does change.

Re: My rottweiler and Pitbull.

No offense but thisis the most IRRESPONSIBLE thing I've EVER read...

Kilasmamix3 keeps saying "I'll keep her/him until I can't do it anymore... then I will give her to a better home.." what? Wait until she is even more aggressive with other dogs and humans? Wait until she is very attached to you and potentially the other dog (even though she might not show it..)

I'm really unsure how much research was done.

Not to mention you say this person you got the bullie from is your friend, yet you talk like this about her? Not my place to stick my nose but this whole situation seemed bad from the get go.

Even thoug they get along now, it surely doesn't mean things will stay that way. People have purchased litter mates together who turned out to hate each other more than a random other puppy...

Either way, I sincerely hope things turn out well for u in the end!!! Best of luck@

I suggest giving the matter serious thought.

I’m involved in rescue. My group doesn’t take aggressive dogs into our program. All our dogs live in foster care and all our foster families have at least one personal dog. This means there’s no place in my rescue group for dogs who don’t like or tolerate other dogs.

Furthermore, my group was contacted more than 800 times last year by people looking to rehomes their dogs or by shelter personnel about Rotties in their facilities.

These numbers mean that rescue is severely limited in the number and types of dogs accepted.

Keep these facts in mind. You may be unable to find a bona fide rescue group to take the dog you need to rehome.

Then what will you do?
