| Zooey caught her jaw in a crate door! Zooey is starting to teethe, has every teething toy known to mankind but, of course, still goes to chew on other things. Tonight, she latched onto one of the bars of one of the big dog's wire crates and promptly got her lower jaw caught. She freaked out and scared everyone to death. She's OK but I'm not sure how to address this. Do you think she'll try it again? Any ideas? Usually she has such a good idea of what to chew on and not (what's a toy and what isn't or what's acceptable and what's not). I feel horrible. Last edited by lengel; 03-21-2008 at 10:51 PM. | Re: Zooey caught her jaw in a crate door! She probably won't want to have her mouth within a half mile of it, LOL. Seriously, that's pretty darn scary, and it sounds like she did get quite a scare from it, so I doubt she'll be inclined to want to go through that again. |

| Re: Zooey caught her jaw in a crate door! I hope not. She's pretty darn smart. Thinking about it now that the crisis is past, the door wasn't latched so I'm thinking that she pulled when her jaw was caught and the door swung out so she couldn't get the resistance she needed to get her jaw out. The door just followed her so she freaked. As soon as I grabbed the door, she could pull out. |
