| Nail Trimming... When Janus was smaller (2 months old) I didn't have a problem with trimming his nails. He'd sit quietly and let me go at it till I was done, then he'd get a treat after I finish each paw. Since he's been to the vet's and they trimmed his nails, he's been very different. Now I can't trim his nails alone, and my boyfriend refuses to help me. I've moved to a new location so I don't have any friends here to help me. Any advice as to how to get him to stop trying to nip me every time I try to trim his nails? I've tried laying him on his side, laying him on his back, and wrapping him in a towel, and letting him have a treat to chew on while I get his nails done. So far he let me get one nail done before he caught on to what I was doing, then he dropped the treat and started biting me. HELP!!!! |

| Re: Nail Trimming... I think you need two people. I have my sister or boyfriend hold dexter (8 months). I also give him a distraction (yogurt) while I'm trimming which keeps him calm while I trim as fast as I can! |
