Talking markings

how are you able to tell when the puppy grows up how deep/rich their markings are going to be?

You can't. Of course a lot depends on the color of the sire and dam, but I have had huge ranges of color in the same litter amongst puppies. It's hard to say, they may all look the same when they are 8 weeks old, but colors can and do change as they mature.

Re: markings

i heard that the dogs with the lighter colour tan markings have a better temperament than the dogs with the darker markings.

That's a crock...completely wrong...their color has nothing to do with their temperment.

You must have heard wrong then. So, does this mean blondes have a better temperament than brunettes? Markings come from genetics. So does temperament. But I can't imagine either being related to each other.

brunettes tend to hit harder than blonds!
