Ok, we've got a goat, three ducks and four chooks. Let's not talk about the cat LOL
There's a doghouse under the carport (my husbands misguided thinking that my rottie was going to sleep outside until he met her!!) The carport is covered in straw for the animals and Sheba has a habit of stealing the goats bread. The two of them have this strange relationship which is quite playful. We worried at first because she would nip at his legs or grab a hold of his collar but Ahab(the goat) gives as good as he gets ... it's the horns I think
So, Sheba does NOT use the doghouse, the cat does, the chooks have a look, the goat thinks it's great but Sheba insists on herding (or trying to) the chooks into it. Nothing I do makes her stop it. She tries to do this gently, never barks at them, never nips at them just tries to round them up into the doghouse. Needless to say, the chooks are not impressed. Why is she doing this??
The other thing is that I've hardly ever seen her scared before (except the vacuum cleaner). Last night we had possums running across the roof of the house and she bolted into our bedroom (never does this) and sat down next to the baby's cot. She wouldn't budge. She didn't want comfort from us but wanted to be near the baby.
