What to do know.....

I have a beautiful 2 month old rottie pup......I took him to the vet and the vet tells me....socialize the dog it is good for him...with all kinds of ppl and dog.....small...big...tall.short.....I am sure you are catching my point ...so I do that....

We are at a park and some dog bit my dog on his back.....

Now I have a delema...he does not wanna go outside it seems other than in the back yard....

he seems afraid of ppl and dog and I do not know what to do this is not good for him being so young.....

Any suggestions......

first off you probably shouldnt take your dog to a park, especially not a young pup. he should be fully vaccinated for sure, but even then there are lots of dogs at the park who might not be and very ignorant owners who's dogs arnt well behaved. Probably why your pup was attacked.

You say your boy is 2 months, how many weeks did you get him at? If he was taken from his litter too early, he may be fearful and people and animals because of this.

You should enroll your boy in puppy classes if you havnt already. There you can get the proper socialization with other pups his age and it will be better supervised. If he is fearful do not tell him it is ok, as it only adds to the problem when it sounds to him like you are praising him for it. Instead take him out of and avoid these situations. When he is confident and social praise and ecourage him. Take him to public places and one at a time let people pet him, people love puppies! Praise a lot and stay calm and confident- the more you are the better he will be, as he will sense it.

So sorry for what happened to your boy. Its a big shame as it could hinder his socialization. Try to keep exposing him to all kinds of people and things and get him in puppy classes as soon as possible.
