weeeeee

Hi,

My 3 1/2 month pup wont stop wee'in bless her lol, She's toilet trained and i have no problems there at all, The problem happens if someone (anyone even myself if shes been with my girlfriend all day) comes into the room, or when im out walking her someone comes over to give her a little stroke she gets excited and wee's, Its been happening since we got her bout a month ago and was hoping she'd "grow out of it" but obviously aint,

she could of had a wee 2seconds just before someone approaches us yet she will still find some more in her lol.

Any idea's on how to combat this and stop her doing it? Cant have her keep doing it in the house everytime someone enter's, regardless of whether they know her or not, even if they just try "blanking" her and not give her attention in an attempt not to get her excited.

Thank's in advance
Aaron

Re: weeeeee

The rule with excitement peeing is to curtail the excitement.

Ask everyone who approaches her to ignore her. Don't look at her, don't talk to her, don't stoop to pet her--ignore her as tho she's invisible.

Ask your friends when they come over to your house to ignore her, too.

Once she's had an opportunity to sniff them and perhaps settle, they can give her a quick hello.

Re: weeeeee

So if i do this for a few weeks should she stop having these little accidents and grow out of it? Or has it always got to be this way?

Thanks for the response

Re: weeeeee

She may grow out of excitement peeing--or at least the bouts won't be so frequent. The key is to keep all greetings very low key and very calm.
